An annual fisherfolk gathering along Lavezares Bay celebrating the seafaring heritage of the four BIRI-LAROSA towns and surrounding barangays. The festival features sail boat races and manual/motorized banca races, drawing twenty to thirty participants from the BIRI-LAROSA protected fisherfolk municipalities and an audience of three to five thousand onlookers and residents at the Bay. Held every August twenty-first in tribute to the seafarers and fisherfolk of Lavezares.

The drum and lyre competition of Lavezares is a long-standing inter-school event held for many years as part of the municipality's major celebrations. It brings together elementary and secondary schools to showcase synchronized marching, musicality, and creative performances through their drum and lyre corps, majorettes, and color guards. More than a competition, it has become a vibrant tradition that promotes youth engagement, discipline, and community pride while adding energy and excitement to local festivities.

January 7, 2027 · Poblacion, Lavezares

Every January 7, Lavezares commemorates its founding in 1875 by virtue of a decree from the Spanish Governor-General. The day is celebrated with a town parade, cultural shows, and community gatherings.

The Pinonayan Festival of Lavezares, honoring its former name, is derived from the historically significant bird called Ponay. This festival reflects the Lavezaresnons' devotion to Señor Santo Niño and serves as a thanksgiving for blessings and bountiful harvests. It highlights the history, culture, livelihood, products, and industries of each barangay in Lavezares. An inter-barangay celebration open to the participation of all barangays in Lavezares.

Tugtugan sa Plaza is an annual community event held at the municipal auditorium, featuring live bands, food stalls, and drink vendors arranged with tables for guests. During the celebration, the area turns into a lively gathering place where residents and visitors enjoy music, local delicacies, and refreshments in a festive and social atmosphere. It highlights the town's vibrant culture and strong community spirit, bringing people together for nights of entertainment and celebration.
